Sis. Dianna Haire Porter, daughter of the late Jake Haire and the late Hazel Davis, was born November 24, 1949 in Decatur County, GA.

At a tender age, she gave her life to Christ.  Dianna possessed a love for everyone and always believed in treating others in the same manner in which she wanted to be treated.

A native of Bainbridge, GA, she graduated from Hutto High School in 1969.  In 1975, she graduated from Albany Vocational Adult School, presently Albany Technical College, with a Certificate in Culinary Arts.

On February 20, 1970, she married her soulmate and the love of her life, Amos Porter.  Together they created a home of love and warmth for their children.

Sis. Porter was employed by the Dougherty County School System from 1976 until 2005 and the Decatur County School System from 2005 until her retirement in 2010.  In both systems, she worked in the Nutrition Program.  She loved cooking, relaxing and talking with her family and friends.

On Friday, April 26, 2013, our dear wife, mother, sister and friend was called from labor to reward.  In the midst of our sorrow, we rejoice knowing that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Alfred Davis and Michelle Davis.

Precious memories will always be etched in the hearts and minds of her loving family, which includes her husband of 43 years, Amos Porter, Sr.; a daughter, Janetha (Keith) Dean, Warner Robins, GA; a son, Amos Porter, Jr., Bainbridge, GA; two step-daughters, Frances Gamble, Jacksonville, FL and Tammy Porter, Albany, GA; six sisters, Marion Greene, Donnice (Robert) Butler and Laura (Lonnie) Baggling, all of Bainbridge, GA, Mary Davis, Romulus, MI, Sandra (William) Grimsley, Fort Myers, FL and Rochelle Davis, Cairo, GA; a brother, Ronnie (Bobbie Jean) Davis, Bainbridge, GA; a brother-in-law, Wilson (Rosie Lee) Porter, Dunkirk, NY; two sisters-in-law, Kay Davis, Pelham, GA and Annie Bell Carter (Idus), Dawson, GA; sixteen grandchildren; three step-sisters, Brenda Thomas and Carrie Jones, both of Bainbridge, GA and Janice Hunter, Stone Mountain, GA; a step-brother, Roosevelt Hayes, Raiford, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
