Martha Ree Campbell McCray, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lora Dennard Campbell, was born in Dawson, Terrell County, GA on November 04, 1957.
“Susie”, as she was affectionately called, attended the public schools of Terrell County, GA and was a member of the Class of 1976. She was a faithful member of First Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Old Field, Terrell County, GA until her demise.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Willie C. McCray. Their union was blessed with two children.
On Friday, June 08, 2012, Martha McCray transitioned from earth to her Heavenly Home with Jesus. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Harden and a brother, Ricky Campbell.
Perfect peace of a beautiful season will always remain with her loving family which includes two children, Quatilia (Quincey) Jones, Newnan, GA and Cornelius McCray, Thomasville, GA; three sisters, Mary Ann (Robert) McCants, Summerville, SC, Lola ‘Lisa’ (Ray Charles) Moses, Dawson, GA and Kewonis (Steve) Cooper, whom she reared as a daughter, Dawson, GA; two brothers, Benjamin Campbell, Jr., Summerville, SC and Bobby (Ann) Campbell, Dawson, GA; four grandchildren, Shaquana Perry and Brenston Perry, both of Dawson, GA, LaCangy Carter and Aujah Carter, both of Newnan, GA; four great-grandchildren whom she cherished, Jareyon Powell, Junori Powell, Jayce Powell and Demarriun Perry, all of Dawson, GA; three sisters-in-law, Hattie (James) Jordan and Lucille Moon, both of Dawson, GA and Carrie Kimbrough, Dayton, OH; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Liza) McCray, Charlie C. (Gladys) McCray and Rev. Eddie (Annie) McCray, all of Dawson, GA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends, including a devoted companion, Thomas Whitting, Sr.
