Sis. Annie Maude Taylor was born to the late Leonard and Pad Lee Reddick on January 23, 1918 in Terrell County, GA.
Sis. Taylor became a Christian at a very early age and joined Beulahland Missionary Baptist, Dawson, GA. She served her church faithfully until her health failed her a few years ago and she relocated to Atlanta, GA with her son.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Joe Taylor, Sr. Their union was blessed with six children.
On Saturday, January 21, 2012, Sis. Annie Maude Taylor departed her earthly life for eternity. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four children: Joe Taylor, Jr., Clarence Taylor, Bernard Taylor and Mary Kendrick Taylor and four sisters, Bertha Jew, Gussie Mae Jackson, Lillie Mae Bennett and Mary Harris.
Those left to carry on her legend of loving kindness includes two sons, Calvin (Almarie) Taylor, St. Petersburg, FL and Lamar ‘Diddy’ Taylor, Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren, Phyllis (Calvin) Williams, Quitman, GA, Marilyn Taylor and Sherry Taylor, both of St. Petersburg, FL, Sylvia Taylor, Tampa, FL, Shawn (Donovan) Holtzclaw, Atlanta, GA, Sharon (Randy) Newton, Albany, GA, Keith Washington and Kenny Washington, both of Coco Beach, FL, Lamar Taylor, Jr., Dawson, GA, Thomas (Charlene) Taylor, McKinney, TX, Angelus Taylor, Atlanta, GA, Yasmin Taylor, Jonathan Taylor and Michael Taylor, all of Tampa, FL; a loving daughter-in-law, Flossie Taylor, Dawson, GA and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
